A short bio

As a Master’s student in Data Science at the University of Amsterdam, Stephan has developed a strong interest in applying machine learning to biomedical research. This interest grew during his studies, where he explored how data-driven methods can support scientific and medical challenges. For his thesis, carried out in collaboration with the Amsterdam UMC, he focuses on the Cell Painting assay — a large-scale imaging technique used to study cellular morphology under drug treatments.
