Kevin Schaaf

Looking at the other introductions, I wrote this as my introduction: “Kevin Schaaf is a masters Computational Science student at the Universiteit of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit, working on developing skills in computational models. Kevin has completed his bachelor's degree in Human Movement Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit. In his minor program he focused on developing a musculoskeletal model of a human that could move based on hypothetical signals from the brain. This minor program inspired him to go further into constructing models. This is how he got to Computational Science. With his technical knowledge on models and his physiological knowledge from his bachelors, he will focus his master thesis on building an agent-based model on the gut-microbiome. Collaborating with medical institutes such as Informatics Institute (IvI), ACTA and AmsterdamUMC and the research entity Computational Science Lab (CSLab) under the guidance of dr. Vivek Sheraton M.
