A short bio
Fred Loth is a computational Science Master's student at the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit. During her Bachelor's in Chemistry, she found her interest to be in the biochemical field. Taking a leap into a Programming minor, significantly shifted her perspective on how she wanted to grow and she decided to explore a more computational integration of her Bachelor's degree. Her interest has developed further into the biomedical field through computational modelling. Under the guidance of PhD candidate Roland V. Bumbuc, she will conduct her master thesis on the modelling of burn wound scar formation by incorporating chemotaxis and cell and protein mechanisms to identify key markers for types of scar formation after burn injury. What she wants to do next she is still unsure about. Whilst Fred loves academia and is interested in a PhD in a computational Biomedical field, she secretly hopes to live life as a park ranger for a short while and stare at trees instead of screens for a bit.
