A short bio
I am currently specializing in Systems Biology as part of the joint Master’s programme in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam. I previously completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, during which I developed a database containing bacterial data for my thesis. This experience sparked my interest in using bioinformatics and computational methods to investigate complex biological questions. Under the supervision of Dr Vivek Sheraton M., my research at SEEDbiomed focuses on developing a multiscale computational model of the CMS2 colorectal cancer microenvironment. By integrating spatial and single-cell transcriptomics with perturbation data, I aim to understand how molecular changes influence cell-state transitions, tumour–stroma interactions, and spatial tissue organization. More broadly, I am interested in connecting molecular mechanisms to emergent behaviour at the cellular and tissue levels.
